Do Muck Boots™ fit wide widths?
Yes. Muck Boots™ are made to standard widths but the materials will stretch comfortably to fit widths up to a EEEE.
What about narrow feet?
For narrow feet, we suggest wearing a thicker sock or putting in an additional sockliner to take up room. Sockliners or insoles such as Dr. Scholl's can be purchase in drug stores.
Can I use insoles?
Muck boots and shoes have a removable insole liner. When using a sock liner or insole, lift out the Muck insole, carefully insert your extra sock liner, then put the Muck insole back on top of the liner. This will make the shoe much more comfortable and will prevent the extra liner from sliding.
Should I wear thick socks?
It is not necessary to wear thick socks with Muck Boots™ unless activities are planned for extreme-cold conditions. The CR-foam bootie material is rated to Sub-0 during active use and will effectively withstand freezing temperatures for up to one hour. Medium-weight athletic socks should provide the best fit. The upper will stretch to accommodate thicker socks.
Is the collar and calf stiff?
No. The upper calf and topline areas are made of soft, flexible CR-foam and will "stretch-fit" to virtually any calf girth. With the flexible upper, the pant leg can be worn over or inside the boot. Of particular importance is that the collar material can be turned down to allow hands-free removal and vent humidity in warmer working conditions.
How to repair Muck Boots™
The Muck Boot Company™ recommends the use of GOOP brand marine sealant to repair punctures or tears in Muck Boots™.
